Gensmo (NDA)


World’s first AI fashion agent helping 500K+ users deliver hyper-personalized style recommendations, virtual try-ons, and immersive visual inspiration with access to 100M+ shoppable items on its mobile app. In June 2025, the company secured $60M+ in seed funding—one of the largest early-stage investments in fashion AI to-date.

I partnered with the team to evaluate the existing product experience, uncover usability gaps, and define strategic design improvements across key surfaces including onboarding, avatar outfit try-ons, search, and notifications. Our goal was to elevate usability and reinforce Gensmo’s vision of transforming style discovery through advanced AI, trend foresight, and the celebration of individual beauty.

Gensmo’s CEO, Dr. Ning Hu, holds a Ph.D. in AI from Carnegie Mellon University, formerly served as a Group VP at Alibaba, and previously led engineering for Google’s mobile search teams.
